Ladoo Bai, a Bhil artist who is in her late 50’s comes from the tribal districts of Madhya Pradesh. The Bhils are India's second largest tribal community. Bai draws her inspiration from nature, flora and fauna, rituals and festivals and Bhil gods and goddesses. She depicts her subjects in the centuries-old Bhil style which is steeped in ethnic animism and spirituality.
Her eagerly collected paintings can be found in private collections around the world.
